Your message stays on your PC.
Reverie sends it to the language model running on your own machine. Your private conversation does not need to make a round trip through somebody else's server.

Before answering, Reverie looks through memories belonging to this companion. It can connect “bad weather tonight” with an older memory about thunderstorms helping you sleep—even though the words are different.

Reverie combines who your companion is, how the relationship has developed, the recent conversation, and only the older memories that matter right now. It does not dump your entire history into every reply.

For the technically curious
The installed-alpha design uses a local Qwen3 model for conversation and memory work, Nomic and LanceDB to find related memories, SQLite for character and app state, Kokoro or Piper for voice, and Flux Schnell through ComfyUI for Moment Capture. Those parts are still being hardened for alpha.
